Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Therapy

When your child is experiencing emotional, social, or academic difficulties, everyday feels like an uphill climb. You are not alone. Our children, adolescents, and young adults live in a fast paced, competitive, and demanding world where they are expected to excel in all aspects of their lives. However, they may not be developing the life skills they need like self-control, motivation, focus, and resilience. As a result, feelings of anxiety, depression or stress can develop. Transitions can be particularly difficult. As an experienced therapist, let me help you and your child overcome struggles to reach his/her true potential.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) & Parent Coaching

The relationship you have with your child has a tremendous impact on his/her mental, social, and emotional health. If you have concerns about the quality of your parent-child interactions or about behavioral/ emotional issues, let me help. As a certified Parent-Child Interaction therapist and an experienced Parenting Coach, I can teach you specific techniques that will help you improve your: family relationships, parent-child bond, child's compliance, and limit setting abilities. As a result, you will experience a significant decrease in your child's acting out behaviors and your parenting stress. Let's work together to help solve your parenting and family challenges.

ADD/ADHD Support

Do you suspect your child has attention difficulties and/or challenges with high energy and impulsive behaviors? Has your child just received a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD and you don't know what to do? I specialize in working with children with ADD/ADHD and their families. Scientific research studies show that a combination of supportive behavioral treatments (e.g. psychoeducation, PCIT / parent coaching, child therapy, social skills training, school services/accommodations, EF coaching) and medical treatments result in the best possible outcomes. Let me help you to develop and individualized support plan for your child, which allows him/her to overcome the challenges associated with this condition.
